What to expect

The Connection With Breath Retreat will deepen your bond to the present moment through several gentle movements, breath work, and meditations that integrate body and mind through breath.  This retreat, designed for beginners and long-time practitioners alike, will empower your ability to enjoy the stable bliss accessible to anyone at any time through breath connection.   

Through this stability in the present moment we will learn how to release suffering from the past and worries in the future.  This increased Presence Power will reveal states of mind within all of us: patience, acceptance, forgiveness (self and other), appreciation, loving kindness, and joy. You will gain insight into how to utilize breath to nurture these states of mind and carry them into your daily life. 

 

The sequence of activities throughout the day are designed to build upon each other as participants will build energy, release tension, and connect more fully with breath and the present moment.  That being said we want to emphasize that all activities at the retreat are completely optional.  If you feel that you need a break from some of the sessions, perhaps an extra time for a walk or for self reflection, we encourage you to do as you need.  This retreat is for you!

Yoga practice will be gentle and accessible to beginners or people with physical limitations.  There are many modifications that can be done so that everyone can enjoy this practice.

 

Qigong practice will consist of gentle exercises that will build and circulate energy in the body while improving joint mobility, balance, and breath connection.  This practice, like yoga, will be accessible to beginners or people with physical limitations.

Meditation practice will consist of several exercises for building attention, directing attention, observing attention, and utilizing attention to deepen patience, acceptance, forgiveness, and loving kindness towards ourselves and others.


The retreat setting will allow you to fully immerse yourself in the practices to rejuvenate and build skills that you can bring with you back into daily life.
